Austin Wedding Photographers | 2018 Recap

Another year has come and gone and oh my gosh, it was amazing!! This year has truly reminded us how fortunate we are to have the most amazing couples ever! We love being Austin wedding photographers! This year for our recap blog we decided to award our couple’s wedding days with awards! Think senior superlatives! We loved going back through these weddings and picking out things we loved about them!

Most Family Oriented | Maggie & Joe

Maggie and Joe had the sweetest wedding day. Over 20 years after meeting, they reconnected, quickly hit it off and got married. They were literally surrounded by the ones they love. Their grandchildren were their bridesmaids and groomsmen and Maggie’s son walked her down the aisle.Central Texas Church Wedding

Best Dance Party | Amy & Robert

There are so many parts of Amy and Robert’s day that we love. It was absolutely gorgeous, working with Pearl Events is the best, and Amy and Robert are so much fun. But one thing that sticks out is the dancing at their reception. The Royal Dukes kept the party going all night long!

Best Groom Reaction | Madison & Roy

One of the best parts of Madison and Roy’s wedding was by far Roy’s reaction to seeing his bride. It was such a sweet moment. Madison was such a gorgeous bride!Allen Farmhaus Wedding

Best Ceremony | Hannah & James

Hannah & James‘ ceremony was definitely the best we shot this year! They had a Nigerian ceremony and we loved it. We had never shot one and we loved seeing all the traditions.

Most Extravagant | Natalie & Michael

OMG! Natalie and Michael’s wedding was one for the books! We had the best time in LA shooting it. It was absolutely breathtaking! The ballroom was incredible! And these two looked like royalty.

Best Wedding Dress | Megan & Jeff

Another extravagant event, but the thing that we remember most from Megan & Jeff‘s wedding was Megan’s gorgeous gown! It was so unique and complimented Megan perfectly. We are obsessed!

Best Exit | Morgan & Justin

Our first wedding at the Union on Eighth was perfect! We loved shooting there. Morgan and Justin were so much fun and their exit really proves that! After their gorgeous sparkler exit, they rode off in a pedi cab! How fun!

Best Elopement Location | Marissa & Cody

Location wise, nothing can beat Marissa and Cody‘s wedding! They got married overlooking Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe and it was so beautiful. After their ceremony we went down to the beach to take some portraits!

Best Reception Entertainment | Marilyn & Paul

Marilyn and Paul had a beautiful island themed wedding. Marilyn grew up between Guam and Hawaii and wanted to portray that heritage in her wedding. At the reception that had fire dancers perform and it was so much fun! The guests loved it!

Best Rainy Day Wedding | Berkley & Sterlin

Berkely and Sterlin’s wedding day was a very rainy one. But it didn’t stop these two! They grabbed some umbrellas and headed outside! They had such a good time celebrating their love and getting married!

There are many things we loved about Briana and Chris’ intimate elopement. It was perfect! Including the bridal getting room. The light in there was to die for!

Cutest Ring Bearer | Ashley & Vince

I mean, look at him! Of course we had to give Ashley and Vince’s wedding cutest ring bearer! He was a sweet heart and so hilarious! His parents have taught him some fun dance moves and he loved showing those off!

Most Unique Floral Arrangements | Courtney & Grant

We have a bit of a crush on the Transplant Florals team and I think you can see why! The floral arrangements they created from Courtney and Grant’s wedding day were so unique and fun!

Best Wedding Favors | Courtney & Brent

Courtney and Brent’s wedding day was so good! I am obsessed with them! I love all the thought they put into their wedding day. Their wedding favors were so personal and unique. They gathered their family’s favorite passed-down recipes and created little cookbooks for their guests. They also had handkerchiefs for guests to wipe away their happy tears!

Most Unique Reception Space | Holly & Blaine

This was such an easy award to give! Holly and Blaine for sure had the most unique reception space this year and will likely have the most unique one of all weddings I will ever shoot! They had their reception at The Science Mill and Johnson City. It is a children’s science museum. So much fun!

Best Fake First Look | Holly & Nelson

Holly and Nelson had a very rainy wedding day but they rolled with the punches! We had to move practically everything inside, including their fake first look but it was perfect! We did it in the ceremony and space and it was so special and intimate!
Hidden Pines Chapel Wedding

Most Intimate Elopement | Jessica & Scott

Jessica and Scott got married this past Halloween with only their closest friends and some of their family surrounding them. After their intimate ceremony we headed to the cutest small town courthouse for some portraits!

Best Ceremony Unity Ritual | Catherine & Josh

Catherine and Josh had a really intimate elopement at Chapel Dulcinea. We really loved the unity ritual they chose. Instead of a unity candle or sand, they chose to do a unity cactus! They each poured a different color rock into the pot to represent the two of them becoming one!

Most Laughs Shared | Katelyn & Tyler

Katelyn and Tyler had a very sweet wedding day in College Station starting at the church they went to in college and ending with a great party with all of their friends! Their portraits are some of our favorites because these two are so much fun! They laughed so much!

Best Vows | Leila & Alex

There were so many beautiful and emotional moments to Leila and Alex’s wedding day but one of the best was when they read their vows to each other. Rather than reciting the traditional vows to one another they chose to write their own. They were perfect and so sweet. There wasn’t a dry eye there!
