There are some weddings that just completely fill your heart and Marilyn and Paul’s Island themed Central Texas wedding did just that for me. Paul was my tennis coach in high school and I admire him so much. I have always looked up to him and cherished our friendship. Marilyn & Paul’s Island Themed Central Texas Wedding
Where to start?! There were so many cool aspects to this wedding! They used bamboo beautifully throughout the whole day. Marilyn loves birds of paradise and having them in her wedding was a must! She got her wish and it was such a neat addition! It played into the theme perfectly. She was born in Hawaii and split her time growing up between there and Guam, so she really wanted that culture to be a part of their wedding day. They had a roast pig, leis and even Polynesian fire dancers, which was so cool!! The guests loved it! The dancers even brought up the groom and groomsmen to teach them some dance moves. It was hilarious!
The ceremony was beautiful and emotional. It was sometimes hard for me to take pictures of Coach during the ceremony because when he was teary eyed or crying, I was doing the same! And I am always like this, but even more so when it was someone I know so well. It was such an amazing ceremony.
This day was so great and I am so thankful I could be a part of it. Marilyn, Paul, and her three kids are so happy together and I loved capturing that for them!
