Chapel Dulcinea Wedding in Austin, Texas

Have you checked out Chapel Dulcinea? It’s an affordable wedding venue in the Texas Hill Country and is BEAUTIFUL for an intimate elopement or wedding. This last weekend we photographed Josh and Catherine’s wedding at the chapel and loved getting to be in Austin, without sacrificing seclusion. The views were stunning and the open air chapel isn’t what you’d expect. It looks as if it’s inspired by a Spanish villa, and how unique traditions like the bell you ring once you say ‘I do’!

Josh and Catherine met on, believe it or not, Tinder. They lived hundreds of miles away from each other, but one day, they just happened to be in Tinder’s ‘range’, and they matched. So, somehow, in just a short window of a few hours, they found themselves within the same radius, with very little cell signal, looking in the complete opposite direction, when they found each other.

If that doesn’t make you believe in fate, I’m not sure what will!

When it came to their wedding day, it was exactly as they describe themselves as a couple: traditional with a twist. They kept it simple with a small guest list, but special. Modern with a beautiful Anthropology wedding gown, but so classic. Their daughter Ella was their only wedding party, and the light in her eyes while she witnessed these two making it official (after four years!), was heartwarming.

Josh and Catherine, thank you for trusting me to capture such a significant day in your life. You are both so full of joy, love and are the definition of acceptance. Accepting the “organized” parts of each other, and all the mess 😉 Congratulations on making it official!!
