Are you feeling compelled to google “NACE” right now?! Well don’t, we’ve got you covered! NACE is the National Association of Catering and Events, and last month we were honored to be a part of the Austin chapter’s event at Mercury Hall!
We had never attended a meeting, and now we aren’t sure why! A room full of industry friends gathered to network and learn about this months topic, multi-generational communication. It was a topic we hadn’t thought much about, but had us really considering how we handle our communication. We aren’t just reaching our generation, but often we are dealing with the parents of the generation getting married right now! It was a great speech, time to network, and man, the food was phenomenal.
Root Cellar was the catering sponsor and blew us out of the water with their food selection. Not that everything is about the food but, let’s be honest, it’s the most important. For sure. Root Cellar is always inspirational in the way they approach food. Rather than a buffet or plated meal, they brought the guests together by serving trays of food for a family style dinner. I was amazed by the amount of laughs, conversation and relationships that were clearly growing from sharing a meal together! Plus, the food was SO delicious. I mean, pesto pasta?! Sold.
