Near Zilker Park in downtown Austin, Will asked Brittany to marry him after years together!
This wedding proposal was special for so many reasons. I mean, what is more incredible than a marriage proposal?! Well, a super surprise one!! And for me, it was amazing to witness my BEST FRIEND get proposed to. And getting to photograph the whole thing, that was a dream!
So, how did we pull off the surprise? Because if you look at Brittany’s face, you can see just how caught off guard she was. Will messaged me wanting to surprise her, and knew it was important to her to have family and friends there to celebrate with. Now, we had to find out how to get her there, looking cute (this is important!), but also not suspicious. We decided that I would text Brittany and ask her if she’d be willing to model for a promo I needed to shoot, and being the friend she is, she quickly agreed.
Luckily, she also had plans for brunch afterwards! Which was perfect because she showed up in the cutest sun dress and sneakers, hair done and all!
Will and I had a code, when I told him to whisper something sweet in her ear, that was his code to propose, and that meant I had texted her family saying to walk up the hill towards them! As you can see in the photos, when Brittany caught on, it was all shock. She was so surprised, and then continued to be surprised when she saw her closest friends and family walk up to them!
Proposals can be stressful, for everyone involved. But I can’t imagine this one going any smoother or more perfectly! Congrats to one of my favorite couples of all time. Now, let’s plan a wedding!!
