Incorporate Wedding Decor in Your Home

A couple of months after getting married in March 2015, I was already missing my special day! People aren’t lying when they say it goes by quickly! It really does. So I wanted a way to remember that day in ways that were easy, that I would see every day in passing. So I decided to use decorations from my wedding and hang them around my house. Here are just a couple of ideas for you! We love having pieces from our wedding around our house so we can easily recall this amazing day!

One of my favorite pieces is a bible quote that my friend painted for me. We had a book themed wedding so I tore pages of books up and modge-podged them to the glass in a frame and then my friend painted the verse over it. We had the sign at the end of the aisle at our ceremony and now it is hanging up in our bedroom alongside some prints from our wedding.

Above our TV we have a gallery wall. It not only contains items from our wedding, but we also printed pictures from our wedding to include in the gallery wall. On our wall we have frames we used at our wedding and filled them with pictures of the wedding. The T & K are from our sweet heart table. We also have a sign that my sister made for my bridal shower. The chalk board is from the chalk board at our photo booth. So many tiny elements to use, but when I see them it brings me so much joy!

Another one of my favorite pieces is our ceremony backdrop! I put so much time into this piece! I punched out hearts from various books and then glued them to this navy blue twine. I tied them to another piece of twine and then even just putting them together to stand up (which included concrete and moss), it was a lot! So there was no way I was just going to throw it away! For now it serves as a backdrop to our bookshelf but I would also love to find something to put in front of the backdrop (on the bookshelf). So I’m open to ideas!

Lastly, we hung up our marriage license. It used to just be on our fridge but I finally decided to do something with it, and I’m so happy I did. It’s right above my computer so I see it as I’m working and it’s such a sweet reminder of that day and why I do what I do!
