I was so excited to shoot Ashleigh and Chris’ Canyonwood Ridge wedding! I have known Chris for 7 years and Ashleigh for at least 3 and seeing them finally married made me so happy! They have been dating for almost 7 years and they have been waiting for this day. So many people have seen them grow as a couple and go from dating to engaged, to married and so the day was filled with so much joy!
There were so many sweet moments from their wedding day and most of them were during the ceremony. It all started with Chris’ reaction to his bride walking down the aisle. As soon as he laid eyes on her, tears came to eyes. He was so happy to marrying the love of his life. Another favorite moment was when the couple took communion together. It was just the two of them and it was such an intimate and meaningful moment. And then lastly, their officiant Brad, who is also a good friend of mine, talked about the things that Ashleigh and Chris told him that they loved about one another. It was so so sweet to hear the things that make them them and that mean the most to them. Such a sweet ceremony! And let’s not get started on the chapel at Canyonwood Ridge?! Perfect! It was our second time shooting in the chapel and we have seriously loved it! I also shot a lot of Ashleigh’s bridals there and the light is magic!
I also loved our time shooting their portraits. I shot Ashleigh and Chris’ engagement photos in February and it was such a great dry run for the wedding day! They were pros by then! It was so easy to take the most gorgeous photos of them because they had turned into models! I love that their pictures perfectly capture how well they can laugh and joke together, but also be so sweet and intimate with each other.
