It’s been quite awhile since we have been back at Green Pastures since our last wedding there and we were so excited to be back! This venue is incredible. It’s in a great location, just minutes from downtown. The white wrap-around porch is gorgeous. The all-white ballroom is stunning. It really is one of our favorite venues. Mikenzie was so happy to shoot Shesh and Jim’s special day there and we are so excited to be back there for another May wedding.
Shesh and Jim’s story is a sweet one! They met by total chance when Jim’s daughter hired Shesh as the designer of her bathroom remodel. When his daughter found out Shesh was single, she knew right away that she had to set her up with Austin’s most eligible bachelor! Jim proposed to Shesh in her family’s homeland of Japan by taking her to a significant and symbolic rock and land that was special to her family.
Shesh and Jim had a very intimate wedding at Green Pastures. Their children flew from all over the country to be there. Their ceremony was extremely sweet. Shesh’s son walked her down the aisle. They laughed together, sang “My Girl”, and made some borderline naughty jokes! They are so flirtatious and young at heart.
They made sure their guests had the best time! They hired one of the best bands in Austin, The Pictures Band, and then threw in a couple of other surprises like a street dancer from South Congress, pool noodles and glow sticks to dance with. It was a party all night long!
Not only was it a fun day, but it was a beautiful one too. Kailee with Pearl Events made sure everything went off without a hitch. And Bouquets of Austin provided the most beautiful arrangements, as they always do! We will never get enough of shooting weddings at Green Pastures!
