Austin Bride First Look Experience

If you know us, you know we love first looks! We have talked about it so much however you probably want to here about it right from the source. So we are bringing you a new perspective! Today we have two Austin bride first look experiences. We interviewed two our brides, Morgan and Courtney, to get their perspectives on why they loved doing a first look on their wedding day.

“I was initially very hesitant to do a first look. I felt like it would diminish the moment of walking down the aisle if it wasn’t the first time Justin saw me in my wedding dress. However, I am so glad that we ended up doing it. First, it was the sweetest and most intimate moment of the whole day (++ one of our favorites!). It also totally calmed my nerves. It was nice to have that moment together alone before all the craziness! In addition, it definitely didn’t take anything away from that moment walking down the aisle like I initially thought it would. Still plenty of emotion / excitement then too in our final moments before officially becoming Mr. and Mrs. Also, an added benefit was being able to get way more pictures in of us and the bridal party before the ceremony. This helped us get to the reception faster!”

“Initially, Brent and I were hesitant to have a first look on the day of our wedding. We both were fairly set in our desire to honor tradition and see each other for the first time during our wedding ceremony. However, as our wedding day approached we realized that the prospect of sharing an emotional and special moment with 180 other people was a little daunting. After talking to Kiera, we also realized that having a first look would allow us to have our wedding party pictures taken earlier in the day. It would also allow us to spend more time with our guests following the ceremony. Looking back now, I am SO glad that we had a first look. We were able to exchange gifts, to talk and to laugh together. We were also able to prepare emotionally for our wedding ceremony in a way I don’t think we would have been able to otherwise. Additionally, being able to take wedding party pictures seemed to be more relaxed as we weren’t pressed for time. All in all, it was such a special moment that Brent and I will have to look back on, and I haven’t regretted our decision for a moment!”
