Galentine’s Day Brunch in Austin
When Kelsey of Oh Happy Day Booth posted on a local entrepreneurs Facebook page about an Austin Galentine’s Day brunch styled shoot, I knew immediately that I wanted in! I am a huge fan of Parks and Recreation, so a styled shoot dedicated to Leslie Knope’s favorite holiday (which she created) sounded so amazing!
The Style
Kelsey connected with Laura of Sweet Laurel Weddings & Events and it all came together from there! After choosing Pecan Springs Ranch for the venue, Laura picked out some beautiful rentals from Birch & Brass. I am obsessed with place settings! Fine Feather Florals did an INCREDIBLE job with the florals! The arrangement on the table was so breathtaking! And I am in love with the calligraphy from By His Grace! She hand painted Leslie Knope compliments and they were too perfect! We also used a backdrop from Oh Happy Day for the pastry table and the results are incredible. It was so perfect! We used another one of her backdrops for the cake table and it was the perfect amount of sparkle!
The Brunch
In true Leslie Knope fashion, we thought brunch would be the best idea for this styled shoot. Redbook Chef made delicious chicken and waffles with the cutest strawberry roses on them! Feathers & Frosting made some sweet individual cakes because everyone deserves their own cake!! And also the most beautiful water-colored cake complete with Valentine’s Day sprinkles on top. Root Cellar Bakery provided some yummy baked goods like cinnamon rolls with pink frosting and some delicious strawberry scones. We also had cotton candy from Fancy Fluff. She always has the most unique flavors! The brunch was completed with champagne from Champagne Supply Co. and their cute champagne cart!
We invited some local Austin lifestyle and food bloggers to be our “models” for the day! They got to enjoy the brunch, drink some champagne and take pictures in Oh Happy Day Booth’s beautiful photo booth! It was so much fun to have them there.
