New Braunfels Family | Atlas’ First Christmas

Attie’s first Christmas celebration!

This year was an extra special Christmas for my family. We no longer focus on buying gifts for each other, but instead purchased gifts for our little girl! Given, she doesn’t really grasp what’s going on, and could probably care less if we just wrapped the toys she already has! But thinking of gifts that would excite her, food she would enjoy on Christmas Day, and watching her explore the lights and decor was such a joy.

We started the day with just the three of us and I HIGHLY recommend that. Spending time with just our little family was so special and made us look around, and be thankful for our life. I’m not sure how we got so lucky to have a happy, healthy and comfortable life together, but I sure am grateful for it all.

After the morning alone, we went to my moms to do gifts, stockings and eat all the Christmas food! Atlas loved trying spaghetti for the first time (see photos below!), but didn’t care for all the gifts. She enjoyed opening two or three, eating a little paper, and then playing with the puppy!

When I look back at this day, I’m so happy I documented it with photos. I will always cherish these precious photos of her. I think my few of my favorite parts of the day was seeing how much love Attie girl is surrounded by and finally getting to write “from, mom” on the Christmas gifts! I’ve never signed a gift or card as anything but Mikenzie and I LOVE that I will get to be “mom” now!

Now, it’s time to start planning a first birthday party!
