Pride and Prejudice Inspired Wedding

Weddings with a theme are my new favorite. Maybe not cheesy, Halloween/Disney/superhero themes (not that I wouldn’t be up for one of these in a heartbeat!), but weddings that incorporate favorite areas of people’s lives to make their big day even MORE personal, are a dream. Perfect example is this weekends Waco wedding at Seventh and James Church and the Phoenix Ballroom! Hilary was inspired by her favorite romance novel, Pride and Prejudice, to decorate her wedding with deep blooms, romantic candles and other couples she has admired! How sweet is that?!

Hilary and Scotty have been together five years, which made this weekend a dream come true for both families. Finally joining their favorite couple in marriage with all their favorite people there to witness, there really isn’t anything better. Hilary began the day surrounded by her best friends, sisters, and mom getting their hair and makeup done, and ended the ceremony with her new HUSBAND and best friends on a trolley ride to the Phoenix Ballroom for the best party of the year! All the way down to the last detail, Hilary thought of it all.

From the tables being numbered with couples from other novels, the classic red getaway car, to the fitted dress with a unique blush tint, Hilary, dare I say, KILLED IT, at planning her special day with Scotty. I have such a full heart as I write this post. I may get burnt out on the late night editing sessions, the busy wedding season and missed time with my family, but then I get days like Saturday. Where I am reminded why I do what I do. Why I chose wedding photography as a specialty, and why I sacrifice my weekends. Documenting moments like these that will never be replicated, to pass down from generation to generation of a new family. It’s an honor, a privilege and a total joy. Hilary and Scotty, I cannot wait to follow your journey together and watch you grow your sweet family! Congratulations!
