Weddings take months of work, lots of money and so much time! When you receive your photos, you want them to be beautiful, elegant and let’s be honest, look like Pinterest. Most people expect this, but aren’t taking the correct steps to get those photos! So we’ve come up with three steps to get a bright, beautiful wedding album!
1. Bring Details! Detail photos are the best way to make an album cohesive. Whether you bring your grandmas brooches, your moms veil, your childhood bible, or a perfume bottle, make sure the details are special to you! These items help us style your jewelry, shoes, with more meaning and color! This also applies for the groom. A watch, cuff links, tie, shoes, ring box, or flask all make the day come to life!
2. Flowers! Now this doesn’t mean you need thousands of dollars of flowers around every corner. This means to put lots of thought and time into the bridal bouquet! Even if we just have your bouquet to work with, we can make it look like there were beautiful vibrant flowers all around your reception! Also, try and ask your florist to leave a couple of loose stems of greenery and flowers for us to style your details with. You can never go wrong with more flowers, but if it’s not in your budget, we make it work!
3. Time! Give us time to style your details. While it’s one of our favorite parts, it takes time to gather all the sweet accessories, style them, and then get those perfect images! Make sure to block off at least 30-45 minutes for your photographer to get you those detail shots you will be able to share and show how magical your big day was!
Needless to say, don’t overlook the details! These images help your kids, grandkids, and GREAT grandkids feel what it was like to be at your wedding, even if they are laughing at our style back in 2016 🙂 Give your photographer the tools and time, and you won’t regret it!
