Camp Lucy is by far one of my favorite venues to shoot weddings at, and when paired with a couple this genuine, I am in a photographers heaven!
Yvette & Jared’s wedding fell on the same day as our random Texas flash floods, and to most people, this would be a total bummer, but it never even fazed this beautiful bride. Not to mention, the rain forced us to use Camp Lucy’s gorgeous chapel and highlight the extraordinary architecture. The results were better than I could have ever wished for!
Just to give you all a glimpse of the type of people Yvette and Jared are, after the officiant forgot to let the couple read their vows during the ceremony, they didn’t even let it faze them. They took their bridal party and immediate family into a separate room, along with a bottle of champagne, and had the most intimate moment sharing their promises to their life together. That just makes me smile!
And if you are needing to smile a little more this morning, take a look at the photos below. Jared has become “dad” to Yvette’s two little girls, and watching him have a “first dance” with both kids was a tearjerker.
Yvette & Jared, thank you for being so kind towards me and my team. You both went out of your way to make sure I felt like part of their family, and I am so incredibly grateful. I’m also thankful for the lack of judgement on my ugly rain boots! 🙂 I wish you two the absolute best in your future together, and with that new baby on the way!
